A deep passion for Sardinia and in particular for his Gallura took Renato and his wife Angela to realize their dream of producing a wine with a high level and promote the beauty and richness of the mountains and granite soils of Gallura in the world.

Jankara 'was founded in 2006 when Renato and Angela Spanu bought 8 acres of "virgin" land  in the prestigious "Vein of San Leonardo" located in the hills of the Gallura and in 2008 planted the first 4 acres with grape Vermentino. 
In 2013, Renato and Angela were joined by two old friends Chef and Restaurateur Angelo and Denise Elia, owner of the prestigious restaurant "Casa D'Angelo" in Florida in the United States, with which I intend to bring a new level Jankara yet unreached! Jankara and 'situated in the Upper Gallura about 300 meters above sea level, near Lake Smooth between countries of Sant'Antonio di Gallura and Luras, more' or less than 25 minutes from the prestigious beaches of the Costa Smeralda.
