Cantina Deidda was born under the name of Marzani Spumanti. The owner Giampiero Deidda began with great enthusiasm and perhaps even with a pinch of madness in producing the spumante with the metodo classico in 1998. The choice of the Marzani name originates from the Sardinian mraxan meaning fox (the x is read with the sound of French j). In Simaxis, where the winery was located, and where the sparkling adventure began, the inhabitants are nicknamed with that nickname, and the name Marzani is nothing more than the Italianization of that term, perhaps too difficult to pronounce for the non- natives. The symbol of the fox, characteristic of Simaxis is a symbol we want to make known and export together with our wines.
